Unit X - College Four - Zines - Manifesto

'History has always been full of strong ingenious revolutionaries.
We believe that the history of art should not be portrayed through nice paintings, but by the struggles of these individuals.
The idea of the punks of the 1970s starting the notion of rebellion needs to be changed.
These revolutionaries need to ne remembered. They need to be immortalised within every anarchist soul.'

This is the manifesto that we decided on for our 'punk' zine. I think it works perfectly with our zine as it sums up exactly what our zine is about without being too long and dragging out our idea. It is compact, which fits in with the size and idea of our zine.

I think that this manifesto gives us a new edge, compared to the other punk zines that were around during the 1970s and still to this day. I believe that this gives us challenges and makes us focus on a individual person. It lets each person go really in depth with their research and find out what makes each person special and 'punk'. I like the idea of researching one person at a time as this is something that I love doing and spending time over one thing and trying to find out as much as possible. It helps us with our content as we know exactly what to include and why. I think that this manifesto is perfect with our zine.
